Huge marketing events were “everyday” during the 1990’s. One night in San Francisco, I was invited to a Casino Night on a party boat in San Francisco Bay. Sure to be a good time, I joined the fun with a bunch of my friends from Sense8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I soon learned that one of the major prizes for the evening would be a pair of Virtual IO i-glasses. According to VideoGameKraken<\/a>, these had a list price of $499. Even as a well paid marketing professional, this was a crazy extravagance, so I was determined to win the prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prizes would be awarded during an end-of-evening auction funded by tickets won during various casino games throughout the night. I was able to do quite well at the tables, but recall augmenting my winning by asking various participants for their unused tickets (winnings). By the end of the night, I was comfortably in the lead and ultimately won the grand prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I treasured my new virtual reality headset, I am pretty sure I used them a total of zero times. I suspect I tried to use them with WorldToolKit, but don’t recall any success. The i-glasses have sat wrapped in a blanket since 1995 while technology..and VGA displays…moved on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
